Inter-agency anti-poaching brigade conducted raids in the Altai Republic

All in all, the brigade conducted 5 raids including those conducted in April – the period of seasonal migration of Siberian roe deer. The brigade drew up protocols under Article 8.37 (Part 1) of the  Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation for the recorded 19 illegal hunting cases, confiscated 14 hunting rifles, with 5 of them not registered in Internal Affairs bodies.

One case of illegal roe deer hunting was recorded, with a legal action taken on the case (a lawsuit for inflicting harm on animals by hunting (in this case a roe deer) totals 60,000 rubles). 

The raids were conducted with the support from WWF, Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) and the regional public ecological organization “Triglava” of the Altai Republic.
